The Science of OM Meditation Modern scientists have now  acknowledged the benefits of OM mediation. Some recent studies highlight the importance of regular chanting of OM and its contribution in developing a healthy body and a peaceful mind. “OM”- The Most Powerful Mantra OM is known as the most powerful mantra in Hinduism. It is considered as a “ beej mantra ” (the basis of all mantras) and its use is a must before beginning and after ending any religious ritual in Hinduism and related religions. The origin of OM is unknown, but its earliest mention is found in Upanishads , the ancient Sanskrit scriptures related to Hinduism. According to Stephen Phillips ( Professor of Philosophy and Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin ), the Upanishads date back to approximately 800 to 300 BCE- which is almost 5000 years ago! It must have some MYSTICAL POWERS .   Let’s try and understand these powers….. It is believed that, regular chanting of OM infuses new vigor in our...

Words and Why is it Important to Choose your Words Wisely Words…. Do we even bother about what words we use in our day-to-day lives? Is this important at all?   Many of us would say no.... not at all ! But let me tell you, words are one of our sharpest tools which can be used to either make or break our lives. Bible says: “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.” And also Buddha pointed out that “words can break or save lives, make enemies or friends, start war or create peace.” Words that we use have secret powers. Power that is strong enough to ignite hope amidst extreme despair. Strong enough to push someone beyond his/her limits and to feel one’s inner strength (which one never thought exists). “I CAN”                         “YOU CAN”               ...
